Potlatch was way cool.
The littlest Aparezuk girl had her first dance. She wore a sparkly brown kuspuk. That was the first time I'd seen a sparkly-stretchy material used in a kuspuk. She was very cute. Probably 3 years old, maybe not quite. I can't remember if Kayla told me that she was going to start Head Start in the fall, or if she was finishing her first year. Anyway, little. She got up, all by herself, and started her dance. All of a sudden, a wad of pink starts to grow from her mouth. Then, with the beat of the drum, *POP* goes the bubble and she sucks it back into her mouth. And on she goes dancing. She repeated the bubble blowing and popping throughout, and the entire room ROARed with laughter each time. She was very very cute, and didn't seem to have a clue that people found her bubble blowing amusing.
Daisy had her first dance, and was very Daisy-like. Very happy to be the center of attention. A little bit uncertain about exactly what to do. But cute, nonetheless.
I thought Duncan was going to do his first dance, but he's waiting until next year. So is Tristan.
I went to the part where Stuff is Given. I've never been to that part, before. I'm glad I went. I won't go to that part again. It was interesting. I got toilet paper, and paper towels, and Gatorade, and Coke, and ramen. And the people who recognized me right away didn't give me anything, and the people who didn't recognize me, did. And, after a few moments, I realied that everyone who was getting stuff was from somewhere else. Oh. Duh. But, Louise /told/ me to come to that part, so I'm glad I did (even if I didn't get any aqutak).
I think I'm going to do my first dance, next year. Eeek.
