How Has Television Affected Your Speech?
Oct. 20th, 2004 08:43 amI noticed, when reading my Fred Meyer conversation, that I used two phrases that I stole from Mad About You. I also use a lot of constructions stolen from Buffy. So, I wonder, what other ways have other shows affected my speaking patterns.

What televisionisms do you hear when we speak, or when you read my writing?
What televisionisms are you aware of in your own speaking or writing?

The waters seem to have gone down. We're having school, today. There are apparently huge sections of boardwalk that ... aren't. I haven't gone down to check it out, yet, but if the weather is nice enough I'll go look after school.
